Technology in Japan

(And our story)

When we talk about Japanese technology it has a diverse meaning in various prospects

For example:

  1. Motor parts – Every part is examined and manufactured digitally
  2. IT industry – Every process is managed digitally
  3. Games – Games made with high precision to make users feel it’s alive
  4. Language and culture – Even technology plays a major role in linguistics
  5. Travel and tourism – Travel gear and maps are made for your flawless trip
  6. MNCs – They want to hire every single engineer who can code and deliver

For beginners, it’s good to be involved or learn lots of things while entering Japan because we can get into a different Zone or indifferent world when we get a chance to get lots of things, especially Japanese technology. If you want to be familiar with Japanese technology there are a few things you can learn and also you might get interested in learning Japanese language and make your career here.

Laptops in Tokyo, Japan

Laptop in Japan

As we all know Japanese are much faster and ahead of the rest of the world in every field because they do not want to spend more time on those works which can be done in lesser time. This ideology is reflected in their products. No wonder Japanese products are famous worldwide for their life, accuracy, and quality. So are there computer devices like laptops, desktops, and WiFi? For example, you can see a portable WiFi device in their pocket that can be pasted like a magnet to the laptop and is as small as a matchbox. Internet speed is fast and is available throughout the city. Laptops are too made in a way that the brands like Fujitsu, Panasonic, Dynabook, NEC, Toshiba, and Sony Vaio have made their names globally.

Our journey in Akihabara, Tokyo

Tokyo

We were 3 friends and now we will talk about our journey in Japan for the first time when we got to know about the technology and culture of Japan. We were pretty surprised when we saw the way they work. We visited in a very small market to buy a laptop in Japan in “Akihabara” which is a famous area in Tokyo city wherein we can get the best offers or the best manufacturing for any technology so we decided to visit. Trust me when I entered a showroom to buy a laptop and to know the capacity or I would say the processor of that laptop. That shopkeeper over there who described in such a way wherein only a certified engineer can understand because he told me each and everything in and out for the processing system. Everyone especially an outsider will agree to buy it even if that person has ample knowledge of the system because the way they describe it is very remarkable.

When I visited the Japanese toy market then I found all the fashionable and ultramodern toys for children that can be invented in our country however we need more occupancy and new thoughts here. Moreover what I feel is that without a very high-end technology no such a kind of toy can be made. So out of curiosity, I asked the shop attendant there about the manufacturing of the toy with built-in internet, also, why they are so expensive. So I was amazed by the explanation that these are manufactured by well-renowned companies getting nice feedback for their products and also they have large teams with modern and traditional ways blended to make the products so unique that only this kind of detailed care can be found in Japanese products only.

Even in Osaka

osaka japan

We all the way went to Osaka to find the differences and similarities among the product-building technology in Japanese companies. There are huge markets and excellent product building modern ways that are considered world-class quality by standard authorities. Osaka has way better and excellent production areas which deliver not only to Japan but to the whole world. They export more than half of the whole Japan’s export volume to neighboring countries and to the west also. So while viewing the technology and products market from our own experience, it was evident that no wonder the Japanese have this world-famous reputation of being a market leader and trendsetters.

Japanese Language

japanese language

Likewise, it is always recommended for a Japanese language learner to experience Japan with his own eyes and not just learn about Japanese culture and technology by looking at videos only. Now you can understand the importance of learning Japanese language since it can open doors for you to work in Japanese MNCs and visit Japan through your Job in Japanese and view their culture with your own presence, enjoying Japanese food and being in the middle of Japanese technology.

You can always start studying the Japanese language by visiting nihongomax.com and get all the courses and Japanese lessons right from the beginning no matter whether you know anything in Japanese, everything there is explained in audio and pictorial lessons for your ease. All the best!

I love you in Japanese – Aishiteiru – Suki des

Many people in Japan actually don’t say “I love you” in Japanese. The actual expression to say you love feelings is “Suki des” that means “I like you” in Japanese. However, since in some Japanese movies and drama, this “Aishiteiru” expression has come. So, Japanese learners worldwide have learnt this as a normal expression as we say in English “I love you”. But since this is not much used, you should learn how to say I love you in Japanese in Japan. It is after the name of the person, you put “san” and then say “ga suki des”.

For example: “Naomi san ga suki des” or “Naomi san no koto ga suki des”

The expression “Koto ga” here doesn’t have any special meaning. It just emphasizes on the personality or existence of the person who we like. So the expression “aishiteiru” you can consider as the final expression for those lovers who are already in love for a long time and they want to confess it once again to make their moment memorable.

In Japanese language, there are many such expressions which are more likely to be covering the whole expression and may not be as accurate to be translated directly in English. I love you in Japanese is just an example for such a situation. One has to master Japanese language at least up to an intermediate level to understand and comprehend such kind of situations and of course to get a JOB IN JAPANESE.

To understand the details of Japanese language it is also very important to understand Japanese culture also. This is because Japanese culture has a huge impact on some peculiar Japanese language expression that Japanese people regularly use in their day to day conversation. For example there is some unique Japanese food and the style of eating that food that you may see only in Japan which is peculiar to Japanese culture and tradition only and cannot be found in any other country.

Likewise the expression I love you in Japanese as expressed earlier is a very soft expression that reflects the politeness and softness of Japanese language greetings or such situations where love is not imposed but expressed as a mere feeling in initial stage. So to understand these soft details you have to and you should at least understand basic Japanese language and you will also like the courteous and manner full Japanese culture.

Also you can always go to nihongomax.com to get all the Japanese language lessons with examples of question and answers that come up in JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). All the best

How to answer Japanese Interview Questions?

Few points to remember while you are going for a Japanese interview, no matter whether you are in Japan or in your home country:

  1. You should never forget any of your documents. Not because the Japanese have a precise mind and they will get to know you eventually, but because it is ethically wrong to do so.
  2. You should tell your Japanese language level honestly as they will judge your level within the first few minutes anyway.
  3. It is best to give an impression of truthfulness in you because it will add to your hidden qualities and your right attitude towards joining their company for a long time.
  4. It is essential to understand the requirement and undertake the opportunity only after getting your confidence and ability level understood by yourself.
  5. In case of a face-to-face interview, apart from all these points, also groom yourself with neat clothes and a clean shave. Also, read and understand all the essentials for the basic procedure of a Japanese interview.

Please refer to these questions and answers as they are given only to give you brief hint and some base so that you can build your own answers with confidence.

Q1. Why do you want to join this company?

Answer: I have studied about your company on the internet and on social media and I am keen to work with your organization for many months as my interests and your company’s vision match. Therefore I feel I can put my best efforts into contributing to your organization as well as my personal learning.

Q2. What was the previous experience that you contribute to our company?

Answer: First of all I have studied and worked in the Japanese language field for many years. Secondly, I am familiar with the technical jargon and Japanese work procedures, especially in the area of _______. So I feel I can contribute to the company using all the knowledge without taking much of the training time as well as I can enhance my vocabulary and verbal expressions that will fit my further growth within the company.

Q3. How do you distinguish yourself working with a Japanese company?

Answer: I have learned and appreciated all the Japanese work styles and I am well familiar with the ideologies they follow like 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Shitsuke, Seiso, Sousa). I am already familiar with training fellow persons who are going to work under Japanese with these ideologies. So I distinguish myself as a person with Japanese mannerisms as well as the competency to translate and interpret the language.

Q4. How comfortable are you doing Japanese interpretation and translation?

Answer: I like all kinds of Japanese-related works like Japanese translation, interpretation, conducting meetings, teleconferences, taking minutes of meetings. I have studied the Japanese language and put my every effort to do better in it. Even while working till now I have taken notes whenever new vocabulary or expression I came across. Thankfully my Japanese counterparts were too helpful to take the time and effort to teach me whenever they could.

Q5. What is more important while working with the Japanese?

Answer: The most important point is to be disciplined and truthful. If you are always on time and with the work done beforehand, you will be considered fit to work in the long run because discipline is just a norm in Japanese society. Another important point is while undertaking a task it is very important to understand first and then agree after your own calculation that this work can be really accomplished within the time limit or not. Once undertaken, it is assumed by Japanese people that you will finish it positively and you have a 100% understanding of it.

Q6. What is Don’ts while working with Japanese?

Answer: You should never try to cover up your mistake by lying or hiding something because it is always better and harmless to tell everything to your Japanese counterparts since they usually have a procedure or a remedy in case of any mistake. But if you are hiding it, then it will become your own responsibility later when it gets revealed. One more important point is that you never have to be rude or forceful while imparting an order or instruction given by any of the sides. Since everything is absolutely professional in the Japanese environment, everything has to be considered feasible or not through logic and not force.

Work style in Japan: How engineers work

One widespread fact about people in Japan is that they are exceptionally hardworking and dedicated to their work. Yet you may encounter many Japanese people who say that they are still not giving their 100% to the work. There is no doubt, though, about their ability to be completely absorbed in a task, or about their perseverance when there is a problem to be solved. What do Japanese Engineers, Inventors, and Otakus (Fans of Anime and Manga) have in common? They all understand the importance of flowing with their inner self at all times.

One of the first words a Japanese language student learns while starting learning the Japanese language is “Ganbaru” which means “to persevere” or “to stay firm and not give up”. Japanese people apply this to themselves since their childhood in any form of activity be it sports, extra-curricular activities, and of course in their Jobs to the extent of obsession. No wonder why Japan has the history of the fastest recovery from war and developing into a nation many people look forward to visiting.

If we take this into examples of Japanese engineering companies, there are a large number of examples like Toyota, Sony and Mitsubishi, etc we can consider as a role model to any engineering growing company. The level of their precision, dedication, and discipline in making a product or even the smallest product part is unmatched. Even an IT engineer, who has a long experience of working and making IT products, has to go through a rigorous interview while entering a Japanese company. No wonder for a non-Japanese native IT engineer, it will be even more difficult as he has to clear the Japanese language round also.

Not only for engineers but even for artisans, there can be a strictly productive work style from day one of joining a new company. I remember my few days of internship experience at a Japanese company that made us experience the work style of a magazine producer. Some normal rules were as follows:

  1. Divide each activity into groups of related tasks
  2. Assign each group its own place and name
  3. If you are writing a magazine article, you could do research and takes notes at home in the morning
  4. Write in the library in the afternoon
  5. Edit on the couch at night
  6. Be productive by thinking of innovative ways to save time

Now since we were new to the culture, we were handled softly and not for a long time. But for the real interns, most of them were Japanese, there was no looking back once they are assigned a particular task. After all, it was going to be their permanent job and they wanted to establish themselves as a professional magazine editor in the long run.

So for many of those who have understood the value of hard work and dedication to work in Japan as an engineer, it is now the time to prove it to yourself that really you can do it.

And the way to test you is to start finding a job as an engineer in Japan. You have to search in large quantities and for long hours. You have to keep improvising your resume and there is a lot to learn before actually landing for a Japanese interview.

How to become an Engineer in Japan

In Japan, since the corona-virus pandemic, there is a rapid growth in software-based technologies and website services and therefore the demand for IT engineers has risen significantly.

For example, Japan has the largest number of industrial robots in the world – so if your coding skills are good, you can see yourself being an IT engineer in Japan.

Some of the useful sites to find Jobs are:

  1. Hello work
  2. com
  3. Gaijin Pot
  4. Indeed
  5. Bizreach

They don’t necessarily require Japanese language skills but yes your chances will become high if you can learn to an intermediate level. Hard work in Japanese society often pays you well as told in the above section, efforts are valued in Japan.

Saying greetings in Japanese is easy to learn and essential before visiting Japan or conversing with native Japanese speakers.

Mastering these greetings is also a great early step in learning the language. Knowing the correct way to greet in Japanese demonstrates respect and an interest in the language and culture, which is of prime importance in Japan.

Common Japanese Greetings and How to Use Them

The Japanese language uses different greetings depending on the time of day (as English does) and the situation (such as whether the person you’re greeting is a close friend or a superior at work). Let’s take a look at the most common Japanese phrases and how to use them.

#1: Yoroshiku Onegaishimas = よろしくお願いします

is the most important and most widely used greeting. Whether you meet a Japanese for the first time or you are in a formal occasion or just you want to start a conversation, Always remember to say it in clear and loud voice. Since there are many different ways to use and say it, Don’t try to translate it into English you may not get the exact translation.

But for your ease of understanding, mix these two meanings in your mind:

“Looking forward for your support”

“Thank you in advance”

It is mainly said before you ask someone for a favor.

#2: Dozo Okamainaku = どうぞ、お構いなく

is spoken when you are offered with some tea, coffee or snack as a token of guest entertainment. You should say “Dozo Okamainaku” to say thanks but please don’t bother for me. (You can keep doing your work without going into the hassle of entertaining me)

Even if you are a guest and it’s your right to get entertained as a guest in that situation, you should use this expression as a gratitude for the person who has initiated the activity of making or bringing something for you.

You can think its meaning as:

“Please don’t bother”

“I am fine. You can resume your work”

Real Feedback of Nihongomax Japanese Language institute’s student

Hello everyone I am Monica, I am studying the Japanese language now from Nihongomax Delhi institute Just after completion of my 12th class. I feel Nihongomax is the Best Japanese language learning institute because they train a student for JLPT and speak the Japanese language as well in an excellent manner.

Nihongomax also gives you a platform for a better career scope in the Japanese language and opens your career opportunities for Japan. I have experienced it really good and now I am doing JLPT N5 level. There are 5 levels namely N5, N4, N3, N2, and N1. N5 is the basic Japanese level which starts from the introduction of Japanese and N1 is the hardest.

The key factor of NIHONGOMAX institute is the conversation classes that motivate a student to learn the Best Japanese language, do their best in JLPT, and in the future, become a good speaker or to become like a bridge between India and Japan. The teachers at Nihongomax help the applicants by guiding them about everything like speaking Japanese in hard situations, Solving paragraphs question answers, and how to get a Japan visa. They track all the activities from start till the end which is required for a successful study visa processing.

Nihongomax is a great place to study and learn the Japanese language the way of teaching is easy and efficient. They use audio and video to make Japanese understand fast and the teachers always give their best to support a student. Also, the institute is very neat and clean and the environment is student-friendly and it can be called a nice place to study.

They always teach in a practical way that really helps a student to explore more about Japan being a Japanese language beginner student. I am still in N5 level and seriously I have a strong feeling that I already know a lot of things about Japan and Japanese which I really want to tell in front of all you like Japanese behavior, kindness and helpfulness is very excellent. Japan has a very long and rich history with some very beautiful things in its culture that no other country has.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO LEARN JAPANESE (NIHONGO)?

WHY NIHONGO? Wow, seems like the question is aimed at testing out our drive behind learning Nihongo. Hence, I’ll answer accordingly. Nihongo is closely related to Nihon (Japan). So, I must first answer why Nihon? Or more precisely, how Nihon?

Now many, I was first introduced to japan through media and entertainment [anime]. During my freshman year at college, I was introduced to amine, initially, I liked anime with no concern for Nihongo. Over time I realized that I was becoming interested in japan .now, my fondness for anime started shifting to things like onsen, shrines, Japanese people, food, culture, and also the language.
Now, I started paying attention and learned some common words from the internet like Arigatou, Sumimasen, Konnichiwa, daijobu. I still had a dream of living in Japan and experiencing the culture and environment there. I wasn’t sure though if I could go to Japan. I wished that I could converse with a Japanese person, which I did later on [ not fluently]. This provided me with the motivation to start learning Japanese properly. I still didn’t believe I could go to japan though gradually, I started learning about people who had done it ., reading about them. This was a big inspiration and led me to be sure of my decision of going to Japan.
I also realized that I know so little and had so much more to learn Nihongo and couldn’t be more sure of it. This is how developed. it’s been a long process from anime to japan to Japanese culture, a little experience with Japanese people and finally decided to start leaving a Japanese.
THANK YOU.

Learning Japanese Tips & Tricks

(For Absolute Beginners)

You must have heard:

The Japanese language is the most difficult language
So let’s not learn it
No matter it has high demand
Let’s go for some other easier languages (European language)
But now let’s understand that learning the Japanese Language may not be such a hard job since many of us have already learned it and earning Millions. So let’s start

But before starting,

Please know the TRUTH:
1. Japanese is NOT difficult. It only seems too difficult. WHY?
2. Because its grammar structure is opposite to English?
3. Kanjis are very large in number and they are quite difficult to write
4. Japanese have their whole communication in the Japanese language with no or very less knowledge of English
5. We have never given thought and quickly have judged ourselves that we can’t learn Japanese

So keep reading as all of these doubts are cleared here and we guide you to be on the path of earning money in Millions by just learning Japanese and making your life and career settled in Japan.

Our credibility:

Nihongomax Team has 10 years of experience in the following areas:
1. Teaching the Japanese Language in India
2. Teaching English to Japanese in Japan
3. Job recruitment in Japanese MNCs in India
4. Job recruitment of Indians in Japan
5. Japan Study Visa processing for Indian students

Many institutes in India fool the students into thinking that they are learning Japanese when they are actually just reading and re-reading the Romanized version. Now, this is still OK if they have introduced Hiragana and Katakana. But they haven’t.

Find the real and Best Japanese Language Institute. JOIN US NOW If you can… Keep reading…

So, your first TRICK: Start learning Hiragana Katakana (Not at all difficult) along with your initial Japanese language course if they haven’t introduced it to you yet. (Our material and guidance)

Second TRICK: Get yourself ahead in the first month: SPEAK (Even the Romanized Version) in loud voice. We have made it clear that only reading romaji (Romanized script) for months and considering you a Japanese language student is not advisable. What should you do then?

Speak Japanese

It is OK to learn Hiragana and Katakana along with reading your Romanized books, but keep speaking even the most basic sentences like:

Today is a holiday.

I am going to the Supermarket.

I love you.

How will this help?

You don’t know it’s POWER. I and many like me have experienced it. It makes you so well versed in any foreign language in a very short time that your confidence boosts many times.

Start making small words using the alphabets that you are learning and see the MAGIC.

Let’s assume that you have already learned あ、い、う、え、お

What combinations can you make out of these 5 letters?

Even if you don’t know the meaning, go ahead and make some combinations, Just for FUN!

あい

あう

あえ

あお

You would be surprised as 3 out of these 4 words that we have just written by combining あ with the rest, HAVE A MEANING in the Japanese language.

Now suddenly switching to books that don’t have romaji anymore and have Hiragana Katakana and Kanji only, will discourage you. Believe us many of our students have seen this.

Primarily because they have started learning the Japanese Language very fast and then leaving it very FastTrack Four: Don’t spoon-feed yourself: When in reality you should be using all your abilities to speak even the basic sentences in your own LOUD voice, You can and will become a winner over others in no time when it comes to Japanese Language learning. Now you will be a Japanese Language Expert. How?

  • You have already started speaking basic Japanese sentences (Don’t worry even if it is too basic…)
  • Now you have shared your feelings on Social media also
  • Therefore you have started finding Japanese friends too.
  • They have already started rectifying the Japanese that you have learned from your institute
  • Now you are even more performing in your institute (Or even being a self-taught learner)
  • There is a good impression among your friends that you are really a keen learner
  • Now this impression has provided you with more links that you can use for getting work
  • Your first work has taught you much more than any Japanese language institute can give you
  • You have made more connections with Japanese people that now you can choose between a high paying work or a not so high paying work
  • Now you are so perfect that you can start applying for Japan.

Tip Five: Don’t be afraid of Katakana (They are the same 45 as Hiragana)Also, now that you are almost perfect to work in the Japanese language field, you have already surpassed the scary thoughts phase…We have taught a decent number of students to have understood this pattern. Some people learn Hiragana first. Result? They still can’t read Katakana in the same flow as Hiragana. Even after reaching an overall higher level of Japanese. So don’t be a fool like them…The best practice is to learn Hiragana and Katakana together. If you have already managed to learn them separately, we would suggest that you practice them together, again. Make a chart. Don’t have a chart? Download here. This method is so helpful initially since it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between Hiragana and Katakana. If you study using such a chart, it would be easier to point out similarities and differences. How should you Lean Katakana?
Tip six: Whatever you write in Hiragana, write in Katakana too. Just for the practice of course. This would help in sound identification and Katakana reading, both! (Writing too much is not recommended. It is just for your initial phase. See Nihongomax YouTube Videos)Even if you think that you want to disagree with us now, just give this a chance! You will never wish to go back to your own methods. Why?

  • Thousands of students have taken this path and left other institutes to join Nihongomax
  • Working in India they are now earning INR 2 lakhs a month
  • Working in Japan they are now earning Yen 6 lakhs a month
  • Working in other countries they are now earning $6,000 a month

Quick review-

  • Do not depend too much on Romaji and speak Japanese as much as possible
  • Do not learn Hiragana and Katakana separately, learn them together
  • View our videos for customized plans for yourself
  • Listen to your heart as it never lies
  • Just like NOW
